This is how Anna mastered her Christmas fundraising campaign!

The air smells of fire branches, the visitors on the Christmas markets can hardly be counted and everyone is meeting up for a cup of punch - Christmas is right around the corner! The season of love and giving is one of the most beautiful ones. Especially when it comes to making others happy!

Anna has taken this as an example and planned a Christmas fundraising campaign for her organisation to coincide with Christmas. Find out what Anna did and which tips and tricks you can adapt yourself.

 

Why donations work particularly well during Christmas time:

Christmas is one of the best-known holidays in the world and is celebrated in many countries. The festival originates from the Christian faith and is based on the motto: Love the neighbor! Although the religious reference is becoming less and less important these days, the love and joy that other people want to share remains the same.

People like to do good! And if you take the opportunity to help someone during Christmas time, chances are they will do the same.

 

 

The Research 

"That's it!" Anna says, beaming and looking into the faces of the other organisation members. However, they really don't seem to understand what Anna is getting at. "Well, it's almost Christmas," she announces and puts her punch on the counter. The Christmas market is full, but the club members still managed to get a table. "Why don't we do a Christmas fundraising campaign? We could support so many children!"

"But Anna, it's December already. Aren't we a bit late?" another member of the association asks. The others nod in agreement. But Anna knows exactly what she has to do to get her fundraising campaign up and running in time! "Let me worry about that," she grins proudly and immediately starts researching that very evening.

Luckily, the organisation Anna is a member of already uses RaiseNow! They regularly collect donations to support the educational opportunities of children in many different countries. Off to the Touchpoint Solution!

"That sounds pretty simple," Anna thinks to herself and signs into the RaiseNow Hub. There, she immediately creates a suitable Touchpoint solution and starts customizing it: First, she adds her organisation's logo and selects red as the overall color. Then she writes a short, christmassy text so that everyone knows what the money is being raised for:

Perfect! Now a nice photo from last year's campaign and the possible donation selection. Anna writes about what each amount can achieve! For example, next to the €5 amount it says: "Enables a child to go to school for a week".

The progress bar is also a must! Anna remembers that she learned in the webinar that it's best to specify a starting amount - said and done! Finally, integrate "Cover-the-fee".

Now the donation form is ready!

 

The success


Shortly after Christmas, Anna and the other organisation members evaluate the collected funds. The result? Together they were able to raise over €30,000 for the children in Kenya!

Happy and more than proud, Anna looks into the faces of her colleagues: "Let's repeat this next year?"

"Let's repeat this next year!" the others grin back.

In the upcoming year, Anna wants to do a bigger holiday campaign, maybe even at Easter!
